The B-52 superfortress was a strategic bomber and was used for the air force from 1952-1962. One similar aircraft created a couple years after Enola Gay was the Boeing B-52 stratofortress. With the establishment of the Manhattan Project, which was responsible for creating Enola Gay many other better and improved aircraft were created after. Enola gay was revolutionary and influenced the development of other similar aircraft.
The importance of enola gay is unparallel to any other aircraft.
